Investigation progress does not count in raids entered with Provided Equipment, according to update 0.4.0.93. Check your equipment choice before spending another raid on the same objective.

An Investigation may unlock a purchase or a recipe rather than place a finished weapon directly in your inventory. After completion, inspect the relevant shop or Replicator entry. For a missing update, record what changed before starting the same task again; this makes a support report more useful.
